What the AB-3000 2.0 is

The AB-3000 2.0 is the second generation of REP Fitness's adjustable weight bench. It does not fold away: REP notes it cannot be stored vertically, so it needs a permanent spot on the floor. What you get in exchange is a bench built around a wide, ladder-style back adjustment and a listed 1,000 lb capacity, which is well above what most home lifters will ever load onto it.

The back pad has eight positions, from a -12 degree decline up to 85 degrees, with laser-cut numbers on the ladder so you can see which angle you are on. The seat pad has five positions. Leg rollers have six pin-locked settings, which matters mainly for decline work and sit-ups.

What changed from the original

REP's own comparison of the two generations lists a handful of revisions. The 2.0 adds rubber covers on the front and rear bases to protect floors and improve grip, and its rear base is wider than the original's. The back pad is squared off with more surface area, and the pads use REP's CleanGrip material. The seat pad is now reversible. The angle steps moved from 20/35/50/65 degrees on the original to 15/30/45/60/70 on the 2.0, and the leg attachment gets a horizontal handle. It is also available in more colors, including white.

Price, size and where it fits

The listed price is $349.99. At 56.6 inches long and 25.8 inches wide, it is a full-size bench, so measure before you order if your space is tight. At 89.3 lb it is not something you will move daily, but it can be shifted. On September 30, 2026, REP listed the bench as available for pre-order, with orders placed September 30, 2026 estimated to begin shipping November 10, 2026, and colors shown as unavailable. Treat that as a snapshot, not a promise.

If you are building around a rack, the bench is one half of the setup: see our power rack comparison and the REP PR-4000 review. For the wider picture on layout and budget, start with the home gym setup guide.

Warranty, read closely

REP's warranty page lists bench frames at 10 years and upholstery at 30 days. The page also says warranties do not cover normal wear, that products modified or repaired outside REP lose coverage, and that damage from negligent use, maintenance or storage (storing outside is the example given) can void it. Pads are the part of a bench that wears first, so the 30-day upholstery term is the one to note; REP sells replacement bench pads separately.

Who it suits: lifters with a permanent floor spot who want a fixed, high-capacity FID bench and a long frame warranty. If you need something you can stand against a wall, look at a folding model instead. See our adjustable bench comparison.
